Melbourne, April 28. Messrs Greener & Co., well known Birmingham gnnmakers, have sued the - firm of Abrahams, of Elizabeth-street, for £10,000 damages, for an infringment of Greener's gnn patent. The evidence proved that Abrahams had for several years bought, marked, and re-sold inferiur and old gnns as of Greener mannfactnre, A verdict was returned for tho plaintiffs for £3000 for the damage of Greener' 3 reputation and £2,500 a 9 a recoup for Abraham's estimated profits. With a viow to testing the Japanese market, Mr Taverner I*3 arranging to Bend a trial shipment of live stock and frnit. Sydney, April 29.
