MR GARRY S POPULAB CONCERTS.

The second of a series of popular concerts that Mr Geo. Garry intends giving oiice a fortnight in the Alexandra Hall, took place on Thursday evening, when the hall was comfortably filled. An excellent • programme was provided, consisting of vocal and instrumental pieces, and the several items were well received by the audience, and many of the songs encored. The lady vocalists were Mre Shepherd and Alias Wood, and the gentlemen Messrs Andrews, A. Eusden, and Marks. Mr Garry played a cornet solo, and there were aloo several other instrumental pieces. At the next concert we learn several novelties will be introduced. Persons of a speculative disposition who are inclined to invest in gold mining and other shares are referred to an advertisement in another column in which Mr Charles Clayforth, formerly well-known here, notifies that ho has commenced business as a stock and •harebroker in Auckland.
