Owing to the very inclement statß of the weather a very sparse audience greeted ' the parforniors. In spite of these dispiriting influences the items of the programme were very creditably rendered oi\ the whole. Programme :— Piauof orlc ■ duet, ' " Chilperic," Mrs Christie and Miss Tait ; song, " The Quoon's Letter, Mr Hutcheus ; soug. " Let me like a soldier Fall," Mi- Breach; duet, "Larboard. Mi* Hutchens sang well, and showed that he was possessed of a good high baritone voice. I must not omit to mention Mr J. Carter in hia maiden effort. This gentleman possesses ' a splendid range of voice, and with a little cultivation has every promise of becoming a good' singer.
