jMelbouunb, May 31. Sir Graham Berry has retired 'fnm the leadership of the Opposition, and ho will be succeeded by Mr Shields. Parliament was opened yestorday. The Governor's speech indicated that there was a gradual return of prosperity in the colony, also that tho slackness of trade had drawn attention to the national resources of Victoria with satisfactory results, so that the export of the agricultural products for the past twelve months bad exceeded those of any previous year.
