INDEPENDENT ORDER OF RECHABITES MEETING.

A meeting was held in the Foresters' Hall on Friday night, dealing with the Licensing question. Mr Stephen B. White briefly addressed the audience on the necessity for united definite action on March "21st. Mr J. Whitaker also spoke on the various methods in which teetotal supporters could aid in making the election a decided utterance as to the wish of the electors. Mr Riggall recited with effect " The People Must Decide." Mr Joseph T. White in a few earnest words emphasised the responsibility of the voter on this important matter, and pointed out splendid opportunity now given the, people, male and female, to express at the vallot box their wish. A few questions were asked aud answered, and the meeting closed.
