ANOTHER WORTHINGTON SCANDAL. STUDENTS OF TRUTH ON THE WATCH. [per press association] CHBisTcnnp.ou, Octobor 28. — Another split has occurred amongst the Students of Tiuth. Mr Worthington was seen to enter a- lady's house at 10.30 one evening, and was* watched by three students who saw him leave at 2 30 a.m, He excused himself by saying ho was engaged in literary work, but a meeting was held at which a number of the congregation resolved to I withdraw, though they purpose carrying on the work on Sunday evenings. A young man named William Orr was brought into tho hospital this (Saturday) morning suffering from internal injuries caused by a piece of wood striking him on top of tho nbJomen. The patient, who is an employee at the New Plymouth Sash aDd Door Factory's mill at Ngaire, was engaged , working near a machine on Friday, when a piece of wood came out and struck him with great force, knocking him against a truck. Dr. O'Carroll attended tho sufferer when brought to the Hospital, and did all in liis power to alleviate tho pain. The injuries are stated to be very severe. The attempt to observe the half-holiday on Saturday in DunediD, appears to be at an ond, says the Otago Daily Times, for the present. Noarly tho whole of the retail shops were open ou Saturday after noon and v evening.
