Newcastle, Oct 27. The miners have withdrawn the threat to striko if a number of men are disdismissed. Port Darwin, October 27. A vessel has left the port to-day to repair breaks in the cable. The old cable is broken about four hundred miles from Banjoewangi, while the break in the duplicate wire is about one hundred miles from Port Daiwin. The restoration of one of the cables is expected within a few days.
