ANNUAL SESSION IN AUCKLAND, [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION ] •' Auckland, October 28.— At the Anglican Synod the President said that a special public meeting would be held at an early date to consider the question of urging the Government to allow the Irish text bock of Bcripture to be read in public schools. A discussion took place upon tne report of tha Committee suggesting the reading of the Irish text book in schools with conscience clause. It was eventually decided to recommend that re'igious instruction should le given during the first half-hour, commencing with the Lordi's prayer, and that the Irish text books be used. ~\ *
