For about ton minutes during the first spell the homo loam about held their own, but after that they could not btund against the visitors, and for the rest of the game they were entirely on the defence. In tho firtt spo'l Wymvard tcoied two tries, from ono of which Ellison kicked a goal; and Jervis potted a goal. In tho second spell, Wynward scored a try, which Ellison converted; Cockcroft got the next try; thon But land got over, and Ellison convoited ; Jorvi<- crossed the line next, and Ellison converted; McKouzio put up the next try, and Butland the final ono. Tho score showed that in the fiiht spell New Zealand scored 11 to ni', and in tho second 24 to nil, making in all 35 to nil. On Weduosdny next the Now Zoalanders meet Bathurot, and on Saturday they play tho conqueror with New South Wales reps. The return match between Star 11. and Tukipa will be played on the racecourse on Thursday next. The Uuwtra seniors beat Waimato on Saturday by a goal to nil. It is under* stood that Waimate will enter a protest, on the ground of Robson, wbo played with Clifton, being in the Hawera ranks.
