SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON DURHAM ROAD.
« YOUNG MAN NEARLY KILLED. [FROM OUR INQLEWOOD CORRESrONPENCT]. A young man named Frank Langley, son of Mr Richard Langley, of Durham Road, met with a very serious accident on Friday afternoon. It appears he was standing on a p'ank close to a largo log when the plank slipped, throwing Langloy up a considerable distance in the air. He fell on his head, either on the log or a jatk. Hehas been unconscious since ho fell. It is feared that the injury will prove fatal ; I trust not. Further particulars with respect to the accitf^t arc to the effect that Mr Frank Langijy was precipitated from a plank while working at repairing the Ngatoro bridge through a log that was being jacked slipping back. Dr Valintine is attending the sufferer, and he has hopes that he can poll him through, although thu injuries to the head are of a serious nature Mr Langley was only recently married.
