ANNEXATION OF BELUCHISTAN.
London, May 6.
The Chronicle says the British Government has decided to formally annex Beluchistan. The Khan has proved | himself a sanguinary tyrant of the wor3t i type, having during his reign murdered no less than three thousand persons. Quite lately sixty-five were put to death, and among the number were five of his wives, one of whom was burned alive. DUNDEE STRIKE OVER. The Dundee strike has been settled, the reduction of 2^ per cent, being accepted. FROZEN MEM' FOR TROOPS. Mr Wm. Woodall, financial secretary of the war office stated that tenders had been accepted for frozen beef for the troops on the Home Stations from October to May and for frozen mutton for the whole year. This he declared would be abont GO per cent of the total rations during the periods mentioned, RIOT AT HULL. ! During the disturbance at Hull the police used their batons freely and several Unionists who were attacking the freemen were injured before order was restored.
