DAVYS' BRIGHT LIGHTS.

CAPITAL PERFORMANCE. Davys' Bright Lights comedy and novelty Company appeared for a Bhort season of two nights in the Alexandra Hall on Friday night. The audience were most enthusiastic in their reception of the programme, which was varied enough to please tbe mosfc exacting. A musical and farcical comedy, " Tho Wrong Man, ' was first presented. In this the mashing proclivities of a dude cause much annoyance and trouble to Marmalade Muddle and his wife. The latter hires a costermonger to eject tho maEher from the house, but through some mischance the unfortunate Marmalade gets in the coster's way, and gets ejectod sundry times. In the end the offending masher is caught, and all ends happily. Mr F. Davys made a splendid Marmalade Muddle, and the part of his wife was ably filled by Miss Masters. The part of Adolphus Dossington, the masher, was woll taken by Mr Z. Fritz ; and the low comedy character of Benjamin Breinmy, the costermonger, found a capital exponent in Mr J. Tudor. Miss Georgio Devon made tho most of tho part of Betsy Blobs, tho slavoy. Tho vocal numbers in the piece were nicely sung, and well received. As a song and dance a< tist Miss Georgie Devoe is very clover. Mr Fred Davys made a great hit in his Irish impersonation, lie sang, " I've Worked Eight Hours," and "Mr Murphy is a Well Known Man" wi^b great effect, his brogue being excellent, and his dancing truly eccentric. A feature of the evening's performance was the warbling of Z. Fritz, styled the Swiss warbler. In his Dutch character the same performer was also most successful, the audience testifying their approval by applauso and derm nds for an encore. Miss Goorgie Devoe, and Mr J. Tudor gave somo excellent original specialities in singing and dancing. Tho programme concluded with a comic pantomino entitled " Great American Fantoccini," in which marionettes were introduced. LAST PERFORMANCE. Tho Company will give their final performance here this (Saturday) night. Those who would like an evening's aaiusement should not fail to be present to night, j
