INGLEWOOD.
(PROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) January 13.— The Town Board held itß usual monthly meeting on Monday, Present : Messrs J. O. Poach (Chairman), Lamb, Kennedy, and Marsh. Outward correspondence was read from Mr Julian, Managerof thelnglowood Dairy Factory, Chairman Tarnnaki County Council, Jas. Hickton — Inward correspondeucc from Jas.Hickton, John Swanson, and C. Wills. Mr Taylor's tender for sections in Moa* street, alsothatof MrStockman'e, for96,and and 108 were accepted. - - The custodian's report of tho Town Hall for tho quarter ending 3ltt December, 1891, wns read. The collector's report for the month of December, 1891, was road, showing amount collected to bo £2. The Works Corauiilteo were instructed to sco that the drain ia Richtnond-etreet be cleared. Mr Qiltnour is to bo written to to havo tho gorso on his soction taken up, to prevent it spreading. Air Coldwoll attended tbo meeting ros« pecting the footpath in front of his Hotel. The Chairman was authorised to havo tho piano tuned) and to furnish a key for, the same. It was proposed by Mr Marsh, and soconded by Mr Lamb, " That the Clerk write to Inspector Pa^dy, Mr McGuiro, and Mr E M. Smith, asking them to use their iuflueuco to have a policeman ttattoaed at Inglewood, and a Resident Magistrate Court hold once in two months." Permission was granted to buve a section transferred from Mr Wills to Mr Swauson. Accounts totlio amount of £13 10a were passed for payment.
