STABLES BURNT. Auokland, May 18. The stables at Otahuhu, formerly owned by the Stud Company, now jthe property of the River Plate Company, havebeen destroyed by fire. The loss is estimated at £700. A DEAD CHILD FOUND: The body of a newly born infant has been found dead in a confectioners' box at Korthcote beach. There were no marks of violence on the child, who evidently died from natural causes. RESULT OF A SCUFFLE. 5 A boy. Frederick Mitchell, 8 years old, sustained a serious, possibly fatal injuryi on Saturday, in a scuffle with another lad, who has been , arrested. ,
