|FBR PREBR ASSOCIATION. | Wellington,"'. April 2. — The Customs duty for March was £122,713, against £123,607 for March 1890, and £146,501 in February. Tho receipts for the year were £1,527,233, giving a surplus above the estimate of £74,733. In his statement published in January, Sir H. Atkinson estimated the surplus at £89,000, based on the anticipation of the receipt of £400,000 during the first three months of this year, but the receipts have not been up to estimation. Last month it<wus expected the duties on the Rimutaku's cargo would have como in, but owing to holidays it was not collected. The beer duty for the financial year ending March 3Jst was £50,030, giving a surplus of £4030. The receipts for last month were £5417, as against £5374 for the same month last year.
