BOWLING.
On Tuesday- afternoon two rink matches for Mr T. Skelton's prize wero played. Messrs Tisch, J. Avery, Webb, and Jones (skip), were defeated by Messrs Davies, Furlong, McAJlum, and J. Veale (skip), tho scores being 8 and x 29 respectively. Messrs Fischer, Jackson, Govett, • and Wright (skip), played Messrs Fraser, Jury, Goldwater, and Paul (skip), the latter rink being victorious as they scored 21 to their opponents' 16. Mr Sanderson's rink has to play Mr Morey's rink, and the matches in the first round will then be complete. The single-handed matches are being played off as rapidly as possible.
