HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

The High School Board of Governors met on Wednesday, when it was decided that the breaking up ceremony in connection with the High School should take place at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, Decomber 19. Tho Board voted £5 for prize money. Tho Board also decided to call tho attention of the Borough Conncil to bad druinago nt the end of York Terrace. It was decided to give £2 towards tho High School athletic meeting in March noxt. It was also resolved to offer the now ondowniont for lease. It was also resolved to point out to the Minister of Education tho desirability of having regular examinations of tho High Schools in the colony. The Board further decided to request tho Government to bring the Board under the provisions of " The Public Bodies* Powers Act, 1887," which gives powers to reduce rents, etc. The consideration of the report of Mr Robinson on applications for reduction of rent was deferred till next meeting. Some minor business was done, and noticos of motion given by Dr. Hutohinson, and Capt. Cornwall.
