Tho Inter-Colonial Charities Conference has concluded. A motion was carried recommending the establishment of labor colonies on a similar plan to those establishod by Germany. Sydney, November 18.

A valuable discovery of limestone has been made in Mount Pleasant Colliery, lllawarra, which is said to be little inferior to English limestone. At a meeting of delegates of the northern, western, and southern miners, it was decided that if the latter were locked out they recommend the working miners to pay 5 per cent, of wages for their support.
