[FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] HEAVY OKDER PAPER. Monday, July 14. — There is a very heavy Order Paper for the House to' I*"''1 *"'' morrow. There are 117 questions to be answered, 29 notices of motion, 11 resolutions to introduce bills, and 40 orders of the day. NEW PLYMOUrH HARBOUR LOAN. Mr Joyce is to ask the Premier, on Tuesday, Will the Government forthwith set up a special Committee to inquire into some of the causes which have prodncod such disastrous financial results to the New Plymouth Harbour Board, and also to ascertain the extent of the colony's liability to those bondholders who have made their investments since the date when the Government withheld from European capitalists the Board's financial position, and remitted £5,115 17s Id -to enable the interest on the Board's coupons .- to be met on the Ist Novemb r last. PUBLICACCOUNTSCOMMITTEE AND INTEREST ON HARBOUR LOAN. Mr Seddon to-morrow will ask Mr Macarthur, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee for the session, 1889, (1.) Whether the statement made by the Native Minister lo the effect that the . Public Accounts Committee had sanctioned the payment of the interest due on the Taranaki Harbour Board debentures bo true ? (2.) If the reply be in the affirmative, Why is it that such sanction does not appear in the Journals setting forth the transactions of the said Committee, and why such decision was not reported to the House ? PAYMENT OF INTEREST ON HARBOUR LOAN. Hon Mr Mitchelson ia to move to-raorrow That Standing Order No. 178 be suspended, and that a Committee be appointed to examine into and report upon such questions relating to the Public Accounts as they may think desirable, or that may be referred to them by the House or Government ; and also into all matters relating to the finance of the colony which the Government may refer to them ; seven to form a quorum. The.Committee to consist of Hon. Sir H. A. Atkinson, Hon. Mr Ballance, Mr Barron, Hon. Sir J. Hall, Hon. Mr Larnach, Mr Macarthur, Mr Moss, Dr. Newman, Mr Perceval, Mr Rhodes, Mr Samuel, Mr Tnrnbull, Mr Valentine, and Mr Wilson.
