PRESENTATION TO MISS GERTRUDE WEBSTER.

The teachers and scholars attending St. Mary's Sunday School, New Plymouth, presented Mias Gertrude Webster on Sunday afternoon with portions of a silver tea service to mark their appreciation of her services as teacher and organist in the school. After some preliminary remarks by the superintendent (Mr W. H. Skinner) on the great assistance Miss Webster had been to the school, the presentation was made by the Yen. Archdeacon Govett, who, in a very feeling manner, referred to Miss Webster's connection with the school from her childhood, her services as teacher, organist, and assistant in organising entertainments for the benefit of the school, and strongly recommended the children and junior teachers to follow the example so plainly set them by Miss Webster. The articles presentee — four in number — were very handsome, and evidenced the high esteem in which Miss Webster was held by all connected with the school. PRESENTATION TO REV.T. FARLEY. Mr J. Hart, on behalf of the local members of the Irish National League, presented the Rev. T. Farley with a gold locket this (Tuesday) afternoon, on the occasion of his marriage.
