I Wellington, October 28. — The exact saving by the Conversion loan is £36,265 per annum for fifty years, from which has to be deducted £104,000, representing tho difference between the prico obtained and par. CHARGE AGAINST STOCK DEPARTMENT. Mr H. S. Wardell, it.M., accompanied by Mr Gore, Private Secretary to Minister of Lands, leaves for PalmerHton South to-day, to conduct an enquiry into the charge brought aguinHt the administration of the Stock Department in that district by Mr J. NorriH, and Mr George Ross, whose petitionH were before the Joint Live Stock Committee last ecmsion, but wore reserved for further enquiry.
