TARANAKI V. WANGANUI.

At Wanganui, on Saturday, the Wanganui representatives put down the faranaki representatives by 9 points to 4 points. The latter team, it mast be stated, was weakened by the absence of some good players. That fact, however, does not detract from Wansanui's win ; and if Taranaki went down there with a weak team after challenging, then there is not that esprit de corps among their players that there should be. Such a "dressing down " will teach them a lesson for the future.
