PARNELL COMMISSION BILL In the House of Commons, to-day, on the motion to report the Parnell Commission Bill, a new clause was proposed by Mr Matthews, the Home Secretary, and was inserted, providing for the arrest and punishment of any witness who neglects to attend to the summons or who refuses to give evidenoe. Several Parnellite proposals demanding limit to the inquiry was rejected. The debate has been adjourned; POLL TAX ON CHINESE. It has been decided to impose a heavy poll tax on the Chinese landing at Puillippine. CONCLUSION OF KENT OBICKET MATCH. The orioket match between Kent and the Australians conoluded to-day.
