I I FROM 008 OWN COBBESPONDENT.] July s.— Our worthy storekeeper, Mr MoCullnm, is abont leaving the distriot, with the intention of starting a store at Rahota, he having disposed of his Okato business to Mr Syme, exoept the coach busineßß, which he will continue as before. During the many years he hab been in business here, by his obli<ing and and genial manners, he has won many friends j and general regret is expressed at his leaving, and the well wishes of. all follow him to his new venture. Some of our young men here have shown a very patriotic and prniaeworthy spirit, which 1 think should not pass unnoticed, as being a very worthy example to others, viz., in trimminer, clearing op, and putting in decent orier our oeuietery. This self-imposed task being a purely voluntary and gratuitous one, merits the thanks of all, and as a publio acknowledgment, I give their names, whioh I hopa will give no offenoe — Metiers Roebuok, A. Corbett, O. Corbett, J. Gorbctt, W. Ramptoo, and H. Thompson.
