The demand for Colonial Bank sh ues co ,- tinne*. There are s rong bmers at 435, and sales are reported ou'sio'e at 43s Gd. National Bank shares are also lisiDg steadily, and fiod buyern at 36s 6 . New Zealand Banks are unusually quiet, considering the half-yeirly meetiDg is close at hand. The market cbes not on this occasion give any indication of whit the report and balance-sheet it likely jto be. Pome Loan and Investment shares offered last week brought forward several buyers having small sums for investment. New Plymouth, October 21, 1887.
