MR. NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY AUCTION AND PRODUCE REPORT.

At lha Haymarkefc on Saturday young pigs raade 7s 6d to 12s, horses 10s to £5 ss. At the mart fowls made Is to Is 6d, potatoes 2s 9d to 3s, cheese 3d to 3£d, bacon 2d to 4d, tea 13? 6d, sugar 2£d to 3d, flour (slightly damaged), 9s psr 100. A quantity of furniture and sundries aold at fair prices. At Stratford on Tuesday I had a large muster of cattle, the large additional yards bsing filled, and many cattle in the paddocks unable to get a yard. The sale was satisfactory, biddiug being much better for steers of any size. Yearlings were not in such good demand. Calves made log to ] 7s, yearling? 20s to 255, 2-year stfers £2 to £2 10?, 2i-jear (good quality) £2 193, springing heifers £3 to £3 ss. At Mr. A. Bayly's sale of stock, &c, on Wednesday, bidding was a bit slack, but Mr, Bayly's determination to sell nt almost any sacrifice pulled him through. Buyers for Eeveral pens bidding freely, All the cattle aud sheep were sold," but the horses we-e passed. Springing heifeis made £1 10s to £2 10s; cows, £2 to £2 12s 6d; bull, £1 103; cows and calves, 33s to 36s 6 ;ccaves,l yes, 16s; yearling to 18 mouths steeis, 27s to 31s 6d; heifers, 20s; 2-year steers and over, £2 10. At Waiwakaiho a'l the yards were filled on Thurad&y; the sale was an extremely dull one, there being very little demand for anythiug. Young steers, of which a large muster were yarded, were vsry dull. Calves made 11s to 149; yearlings, 19s to 245; 2-year slears, £1 16s to £2 2s; fat cows, £3 9s 6d to £1 2e 6J; extra go:d, £5; fat sheep (mixed), 14s 6d. A nice lot of 2£ to 3-years steers went home, not being able to find a buyer.
