NEW PLYMOUTH AMATEUR OPERA COMPANY.
"LES OLOOHES DE CORNEVILLE." The Amateur Opera Company gave their second performance or " Lps Cloches " on Tuesday nisjht to a moderate attendance of. the public. A grent number were doubtless kept away by the pouring rain which fell during the early part of the evening. The cast was the same as the first performance, so that the remarks applied to the characters then would in a great measure apply to them last ni<?ht. Tho chief ones were all well taken, and tie choruses were very good. The orchestral music was aho another very pleasing feature in the evening's entertainment, - which did not terminate till half-paßt eleven o'clock. A third performance of "Lea Cloches" is likely to be .given' at | some future date. The proceeds last night were about £12.
It will be seen by an advertisement that the Olab has decided to give a final performance of the opera oa Friday, the 7th October.
