S.S. GAIRLOCH'S SHAFT FOUND.

The broken portion of the shaft and the propeller of the s.s. Gairloch was picked up outside the Waitara bar on Sunday by a Mr. Hansen. From the appearanosß of the broken end of the shaft it seemed as if there had been a flaw in tbe welding, as it looked as if the iron had been actually sawn through. We are informed that the Company will pave upwards of £100 by the finding >- of the shaft and propeller. They were sent up by the b.b. Staffa, whioh left for the Manukau at ten o'clock this morning. With reference to the . s.s. Gairloch, whioh left Waitara under" sail and one propeller working on Saturday" morning, we learn that she arrived at Onehunga on Sunday morning, after a good passage up.
