MB. NEWTON KING'B WEEKLY AUCTION AND PBODTJOE BEPOBT. At the Heymarket Yards on Saturday pigs made 2b to 7b. A number of horses were quitted at from £1 15s to £5 10:?. At the mart fowls made Is to Is 2d ; Plymouth Rocks, 3s to 3s 9d ; Houdans, 3s 9d ; potatoes, 2b 9d to" 4s 6d ; onions, lid to 2d ; maize, 3s 3d to 3s" 6d ; wheat, 3s 4d ; sugar, '2£d to 3d ; tea, 14s 61 to 15s ; cheese, 4£d ; honey, 3£d to 4d. A quantity of drapery and boots realized fair prices, Ihe store ani Bection at 'Midhirst in the estate of Him Wing Kee wasTstaocked down to Mr. Taylor for £62, and the book debts in the same estate to Mr. John Low for £18.' The sale of Mr. John Qiltnoui'a ironmongery stock was continued on Tuesday, and again on Wednesday. On both c ays there was a large attendance, and bidding was ac ive. There will be another good day's work at a near date, which will be duly notified, Cattle. — At Waiwakaiho on Thursday the yards were fairly filled, but the sale was horribly Black ; apparently the cold, rainy weather damped farmera' spirits. Very few sold at the hammer. Calves were quieteßt of all ; big steers found more competition, and all were sold with the exosption of a small pen, which went home early, or would have been placei. Calves made 16b to 21s for good ones ; 18-monthß and over steers, 35b to 3656d-r3 to 4-year seers, £3 10a to : *&1 for nearly fat do ; dairy cows, £3 to £5. Produce. — Butter advices from all Australian markets are bad, aud I do not think much can be done there. Salt remains unaltered,- while.the demand for fresh remains good at'Bd for prime. " " •
