BANKRUPTCY COURT.
Tuesday, May 17.— -Before F. P. Corkill, Esq., Deputy Official Assignee. IN BE WILLIAM FOWLBB, OF OPTJNAKB, BOTCHSR. William Fowler, in his private examination, deposed : — I am a butoher by trade, and have been engaged at that business at Opunako for the last five years — the first two years or so on my own account, subsequently, for about a year, in the employ of Mr. Breach, then on my own account again for nearly a year, after that was nearly a year in partnership with Mr. A. V. Kirkby, and since then working for Messrs. Rogers Brothers at three pounds per week wages. I am a married man, and have three children, one of whom is an invalid, and has been a source of much expense to roe. When Mr. Kirkby amd I dissolved our partnership,' the affairs of the firm showed a small surplus, but I had private liabilities i incurred during the early period of my residence in Opunake. I produce Messrs. Aduma & Kingdon's statement of account, showing how the Foxhill property has been disposed of, and how the proceeds are being applied in payment of my mortgage to Mrß. Burnett. All the pigs mentioned in the bill of sale to Mr. Richmond have been disposed of with his sanction, or are dead. The chestnut horse branded &has been exchanged for another.
