WAITARA HARBOUR BOARD. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

A meeting of the Waitara Harbor Board was held on Tuesday, September 14th. Present: T.Bayly (chairman), J. S. Bailey, D. Telfar, J. Rattenbury, B. G. Lawrence, and Colonel Trimble. Harbourmaster's Report. — The reports from the harbourmaster and whirfinger were read. Certificate. — A letter was received from Mr. J. Cameron asking for a certificate ehowing the length of time he was employed by the Board, which was granted. Carting Contract.— 'A. letter from J. H. Colesby re carting contract, was referred to the Works Committee. Wages. — A letter from Messrs. Dugdale Bros, re wages was referred to the Works Committee. Payment of Accounts. — A number of accounts w ere passed for payment. The Board adjourned.
