PRESENTATION TO MR. A. DREW

The Yen Archdeacon Govett, on behalf of the parishioners of St. Mary's, presented Mr. A. Drew on Saturday evening at the church, with a purse of sovereigns, as a mark of their appreciation of his services in connection with the church, more especially as choir master and organist, aad also for the high personal esteem in which he is held by the congregation generally. The amount of the presentation was a very considerable sum, and had been contributed by the whole of the congregation. The Van. Archdeacon Govett regretted the loss which New Plymouth was sustaining by the departure of such an able and popular musician. Mr. Drew responded and dwelt upon the regret which he also felt at being; compelled by the force of circumstances to be leaving the district.
