Tna cricket match, Australians v. South of England, commenced at Brighton on Thursday. The weather was cold and inclement, and the attendance, consequently, was small. The Home team composed — W. G. Grace, Newham, W. W. ReaJ, Abel, G. G. Hearne, A. Hearne, A. Humphries, Lohmann, Phillips, Maurice Read, and Woottoa. The visitors, who won the toss, elected to bat, and succeeded in compiling 207 runs for the lost of nine wickets. Giffen, Ibw 52, and Jarvis, not out 45, were the chief scorers.
