[FROM OT7B OWN CORRESPONDENT.] September 9. — The monthly meeting of the Mo.i Road Board was held on Wednesday evening, the Bth. Present : Messrs, J. Brown, E. Codd, Ji Gornoy, R. Lingley, T. Parkin, and R. Stevens.— Mr. Peters being übsent, Mr. Corney was voted to the chair. — Tho minutes of tho previous meet- . i \s* \\\ ro road nnd confirmed. — It was de- • cicioii not to allow the extra claim of £5 • of Mr.- Dobson's for the use of ford over tho Mnkctawn, nnd n committee consisting o£ Messrs. Brown, Gorney, Langley, and Stevens was" appointed, to arrange with Mr. Edward Taylor with referenc to his claim in connection with the Junction Road ' deviation. — The tender of Mr. A. M uller for draining the Norfolk Road was accepted. — It was resolved to expend a sum not exceeding £10 on repairing the Ross Road from the Manganiawhete to to the Rugby Road. — Mr. Christiansen waited on the Board asking that a crossing should be made over tho Ngamangaporoa stream. — Accounts amounting to £20 were passed for payment. — After a somewhat Btonny debate the meeting terminated. The biennial general election of members for the Inglewood Town Board v ill take place on Wednesday next, the 15th, between the. hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nominations closed on Thursday at noon, when tho following names were received for election :— Messrs. J. S. Kennedy, W. •H. Franklyn, H. W. Marsh, J. C. Peach, R. H. Suisted; and W. Carter.
