SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A MEMBER.
The .-eport of tho District Railway Purchasing Bill Committee was laid on tuble of the House this afternoon^ It accuses Major Steward of using his position as member of the Uouso to dispose of debentures of the Duntroon-Kakateramea Railway Company ; and also reflects on Sir J. Yogel. The report also accuses Mr Peacock, M.11.R., of somewhat similar conduct to that of Major Steward in connection with the Rotorua Railway.
