Melbourne, March 3.

The London Chartered Bank of Australia, at Horstean, a town in the north-west of the colony, was broken into by burglars last night. A safe was found open, and over £5500 had been abstracted, chiefly in notes, the numbers of which are unknown. Adelaide, March 3. A destructive fire occurred to day at Cowell Brothers' timber yards, Norwood, resulting in the total destruction of stock and premises. The adjoining buildings were also destroyed. The insurances amount to £15,000, but the loss is considerably greater. The disaster is believed to be the work of an incendiary. i Albany, March 3. Arrived (yesterday) at King George's !
