THE HORSE PARADE.
The Annual Horse Paradt under the auspices of the Taranaki Agricultural Society was held to-day at noon on the Reclaimed Land, when there was a good muster of pedigree animals. In blood entires, four really fine animals appeared in the ring all more or less in excellent condition. Isaac Walton, although now an old horse, made a remarkably good show, as also did Resolution. The Governor was in very fresh condition, and had a good share of admirers, while The Australian looked well fit to travel. The draught entires mustered five strong, all bejng well known and tried animals. Young Charlie was in his unual good form, and held his own. Lord Ravenswood made a favorable impression, on account of his sterling qualities, while Prince Carlyle and Brunswick were closely scrutinised and favorably commented upon by the spectators. Sampson, a light draught entire, was nicely decorated. The farmers and others evinced considerable interest in the horses, and it is satisfactory to know that intending breeders both in blood and draught classes have nothing to complain of this year in the horses that will Btand during the season. The parade generally was fully up to that of previous years.
