Telegrams to hand from Switzerland state that the Misses Booth, who were recently expelled from Charlesworth with other members of the Salvation Army, have been brought up for trial on a charge of creating a public disturbance, but were acquitted. HSCOOBfESY TO KING ALFONSO. Madrid, October 1. The reports of the discourtesy shown to King Alfonso by the inhabitants of Paris have caused much dissatisfaction aud ill-feeling towards the French in this city. Anti-French cries have been raised by the populace, aud placards posted in various parts of the city. The French Embassy is under military protection. Great preparations are being made for au ovation to the King on his return.
