Melbourne, October 2. Harry Thomas, who attempted to commit suicide at the Bank of Victoria in this city yesterday, had a grievance against the manager of the branch bauk at Heathcote. Richard Corbett was brought up at the Police Court to-day and committed for trial on a charge of robbing the Commercial Bank of Australia on the night of the 18th ult. At a meeting of the Melbourne Presbyterians to-day Dr. Marliuson tabled a motion declaring that the resolution passed by the members of the Scots Church at a meetiug held last Wednesday deciding to secede from the Presbyterian Church of Victoria and revert to the position previous to the Act of Union, is irregular aud ultra vires. Sydney, October 2. The New South Wales revenue for the quarter ended September 30th amounted to £1,390,000, being a decrease of £360,000 compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The revenue lor the year amounted to £6,700,000, being a decrease of £552,000 as compared with the revenue for the previous twelve months. The receipts from lands show a decrease of £900,000, but that from other, sources will be maintained,
