COLONIAL BANK.

THE thirteenth half-yearly meeting of the Colonial Bank was held at Dunedin yesterday The Chairman (Mr. George McLean) congratulated the shareholders on the position of the institution. The report was adopted. Mr. W. Larnach was elected one of the Directors. A vote of thanks was accorded to the Directors and officers, in moving which Mr. B. B. Cargill said that at no distant date the question of amalgamation with the National Bank should be considered. The Chairman referred to the same subject, and said that of course the head office would have to be in the Colony.
