SUDDEN DEATH AT MOTUROA.

A man named Alexander Panter died suddenly at the Harbour Works yesterday. He felt faint shortly after resuming work at one o'clock, and sat down to rest for a short time, when he was observed suddenly to fall off his seat. When several of his fellow workmen ran to his assistance, they found him breathing his last, and iv a short time he expired. A "messenger was at once despatched to town to acquaint the police of the circumstances. The deceased was a stonemason, and had bten at work at the Sugar Loaves for about four months. The police found the sum of £5 10s. in his possession. He lived in a tent near the Harbour Works. Deceased had not been enjoying good health for several days, and a bottle of medicine which lie was taking was found in his tent. An inquest was held to-day by Dr. Gibbes at the Moturoa Hotel.
