GENERAL CONDITIONS.

The Railway Department does 'not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Traius at the exact times notified iv the above Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward thn passengers. Passengeisare stiongl} recommended to have their Niiiuen and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unlcts it is booked aud paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only ou condition thnt there is room iv the Tiain. Children under three years of agu travel free above three and uuder fourteen years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c. — The Railway Departmeut does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train ; but when scut, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-au-hour before the departure of the Train. The owneis of Horses must provide means for securing them iv the horsebox, and tho Railway Department will not be accountable iorauy injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. Uhey will not be allowed in Carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up beloiethe end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Sj ecial or Excursion Train?, except the ordinary Time Table is suspeuded. Return Tickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles arc available on the day of i.-sue only or each additional 25 miles or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordiuaiy Siuglc Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return Tickets until the end of the following Mondaj', wheu re-dated as above. All Tickets used for return later than the day of issue must be presented at the Ticket Window, «ud re-dated before tho Passcngeis enter the Train for the Return Jouruey. Any person neglecting to get his Ticket ie-dated will have to pay the ordinary Fare. Special Notice. — To eusure despatch, Parcels, Kxtra Luggage, aud Dogs must, be at the Station Fifteen Minutes bcioio advertised time of departure of Train. *
