Tho captain reports that the prevailing* opinion afc Levuka is that Sir Arthur Gordon will be conveyed hither by the Emerald. It is thought that sl»o will return to Lotua Loma about the Ist November, and that Sir Arthur will bo thuro embarked for New Zealand on or about that date.

Mr. J. Hunt has commenced an action against Sir Arthur Gordon, claiming £2000, for wrongfully removing him from Samoa.
