Members of tlic Philharmonic Society are requested to meet for practice at the OJd Fellows' Hall this evening at 7 o'clock. It has been reported to the police that the store of Mr. J. At the fir.st mooting of crelitorsin the estate of Robert Snell, at the Courthouse yestesday, Mr.,T. E. Ham-irtoa was elected chairman. The liabilities were stated to bo £1400, and the assets £1(100. The creditors were then called on to elect a trustee, when R. G\ Bauchope and T. E. Hamerton were proposed, and on the votes being taken Mr. Hamerton was declare 1 elected. The bankrupt was then questioae J as to the position of his Race Course lease, but a3 it was decided to get counsel's opinion on it, the examination was adjourned till the opinion can ba obtained. A resolution was passed to advertise for all accounts due. to the estate, to be paid in fourteen days from date of meeting, or legal proceedings to be taken without delay. The meeting was then adjourned till called together by the trustee.
