We are glad to learn that a purchase has been recently effected by Mr Searanche, the Commissioner for Land Purchases in this District, of a block of laud on the Maungaraki, including the run known as M'Masters' at Tupuru Pura, held by him on Native Leases for several years past. The land purchased comprises an area of about 40,000 acrei of the very best quality, well timbered and watered, and extremely eligible for those who are desirous of settling in the country. — Spectator.
