FESTIVAL ON THURSDAY EVENING “FATHER XMAS” PAYS VISIT An exceedingly pleasant function was held in the Druids’ Hall on Thursday evening, when the executive of the local Druids’ Lodge held their annual children’s festival. •At 5.3 0 p.m. a crowd of over 100 bright-faced, expectant children sat down to a spread that will be remembered for days. Mesdames J. H. Denison, M. Swap, R., Jamieson Waters and T. Scott were assisted by Messrs J. H- Denison, T. Scott, J. Bradshaw, C. Talbot, A. R. Beck and Waters At 7.3 0 p.m. “Father Christmas” arrived and distributed toys off the beautiful Christmas tree to every child, and these, along with a bag of lollies, concluded a thoroughly successful function.
