Muir, Temuka, leaves to-day for Dunedin, to spend a vacation. Miss Aspinall (Christchurch) ; is the guest of her sister, Mrs A. R. Guild, “Strathearn,” Temuka, Mrs D. B. and Miss Muir,. Temuka, left yesterday morning for Southland, to spend the holidays. Mr and Mrs W. Philp, Palmerston North, are ( the guests of Mr and Mrs H. A. Philp, Winchester. Mr Noel Heron, Temuka, leaves to-day to spend his Christmas vacation in Dunedin. _ Miss Moore, Winchester, will be the guest of. her sister, Mrs A. G. Hart, Rosewill, for the holidays. Mr and Mrs G- 8.. Oreemer are spending the Christmas holidays with Mr and Mrs D. J. Lack, Geraldine. Mr and Mrs O. W- Kihblewhite, Temuka, and their son Ted, are spending the school holidays with Mrs Kibblewhite’s people at Maheno. Master Raymond Polaschek, of Rarigitata, left yesterday morning to spend. the school vacation with relations in Christchurch. Mrs E. Orbelly Winchester, are leaving for Akaroa, where they will be the guests of Mrs J. C. Buckland for the holidays. Mrs A. J. and Mrs J. : L. Stone-Wigg, Waihi School, will leave early in the New Year for Queenstown, where they will spend the first part of their vacation. Mr G. . Hopkinson, of the Lands Department, Christchurch, will spend the .Christmas vacation with his mother, Mrs W. J. Hopkinson, Wilkin street, Temuka. Miss 1.. Washington has returned from Aratiki, Westland, to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr and Mrs A. Washington, Wilkin street, Temuka. Misses Maggie and Mararoa. Hopkinson have returned to Temuka from North Auckland, to spend the school vacation with their father, Mr D. Hopkinson. Mr and Mrs G. Austin and Miss M. Austin, of'King street, Temuka, left yesterday to spend the Christmas . and New Year holidays with Mr A. Austin, Albury. Mr and Mrs Gordon Mills, Dunedin, and family, are spending the Christmas holidays with Mr and Mrs W. Goodman, Wilkin street, Teijauka, Friends of Dr. and Mrs Scannell, T«ruka, will' regret to hear 1 that daughter Karin, who was visiting friends in Christchhrch for the school vacation, was taken suddenly ill on Tuesday evening last, an operation taking place immediately afterwards in St. George’s Hospital. The latest report is that Miss Scanner-' is making satisfactory progress.
