SHEDS DAMAGED BY WHIRLWIND.
AT CLANDEBOYE. A’csterday afternoon, about 3.1 a, Clandeboye was visited by a whirlwind which, fortunately, so far as can be ascertained, was confined to a comparatively small area. The whirlwind, which came suddenly, lifted a large cowshed —of six-cow plant capacity—into the air and deposited it a few yards away. Ihe building, which was substantially built, is a total wreck. The oil engine and milking plant, are, however, intact. Another, shed which had been used as an engine shed, and which! was a substantial structure built of corrugated iron, was also lifted' off its foil nda Hons, and one of the outer walls carried some 12 to 11 yards. Still another shed, on Mr Mackie's property, had several sheets of iron lifted off the roof. The milking shed being a total wreck, Mr Hickey offered shed and appliances lo Mr Mackie, and the latter’s cows were driven there to lie milked last night. The damage is estimated at over £lOO.
