OBITUARY

MRS FRANCES ELLEN LEAMAN

On Sunday, December 9,. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs W. W. Williamson, Geraldine, there passed away ■ Mrs Frances Ellen Leaman, relict of the late Mr Mark Leaman, who predeceased her only a few months ago. Mrs Leaman lived to the good old age of 77. The deceased lady was born at Chatham, England, and shortly after her marriage to Mr Mark Leaman in 1870, came out to New Zealand. They lived at Wellington for some years, and went to Port Chalmers, till 1897, when she and her husband went to Christchurch, and later, in 1910, took up residence at Geraldine. After spending eleven years at the latter place, she went to Timaru, and lived there up to the time of Mr Leaman’s death, when she returned to Geraldine and lived with her daughter, Mrs W. W. Williamson, till her death. Mrs Leaman was of a happy disposition and was much loved and respected v by a large circle of friends.
