SALE OF PEDIGREE JERSEYS.

FROM OHAPE STUD FARM. The pedigree Jerseys railed on Saturday last by Messrs Martin and Murray, Ohape stud farm, Temuku. were disposed of by auction at Christchurch on Tuesday. The entry comprised 19 females, practically all heifers springing to first calf to the imported bulls selected on Jersey Island by the owners. The purchasers hailed' from Invercargill, West Coast, Rakaia, Fairlie and Ellesmere. Keen competition for the choicest lots was elicited and practically every lot was sold under the hammer. Three bulls were sold from IGgns to 40gns, ! Theso bulls were by the imported bull ‘‘Sunny Lad,” and the latter price was for an exceptionally well-bred bull which had already taken prizes.
